Urban Decay's Theorodora Palette - show your dark side!

Hey lovelies!!
As soon as I heard that Urban Decay were going to be doing a limited edition palette in connection with the new Oz movie I knew I had to get my hands on it! What better brand to create a line for something so magical?!
I arrived home last night from work to find my delivery had finally arrived from Debenhams - my little Theorodora and Glinda palettes!!
By popular demand I am going to talk about Theorodora first! This palette has more neutrals & dark shadows in it - it reflects the dark witch in the movie!
Its available now on the Debenhams website for €40

So, firstly, the packaging! I LOVE how Urban Decay made this part of the Build Your Own palette in that the shadows can be removed & switched about, so if I wanted to bring "Spell" along with my regular Urban Decay shadows I can pop it into the Build Your Own palette! Also, the palette has a mirror the full size of the lid, no poxy little mirror in this Bad Girl! ;)

Along with the shadows came a 24 7 Glide on Pencil in Zero (black) and a Super Saturated Lip Colour in "Theorodora" a rich red, which has completely SOLD me on Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Pencils by the way! They are INTENSE and glide on like a dream with no drying effect on the lips!

If I could fault this palette for one thing it would be that the pencil is Zero & not Perversion, which we all know by now is the blackest black liner you could possibly imagine... I just feel Zero was a little of a poor attempt, but at the same time the creaminess and smoothness of the eyeliner, as always is second to none.

Now, on to the shadows!

So we have:
  • Broken (pale cream satin)
  • Beware (warm/medium brown matte)
  • Bewitch (dark charcoal brown satin)
  • West (deep metallic brown with shimmer)
  • Spell (a black navy with gold glitter shimmer/gold metallic with glitter)
  • Jealous (pale green pearl/dark green pearl)

  • My favourites have to be the gold side from the "Spell" shadow and the "Jealous" duo shadow, just such beautiful colours!
My least favourite is probably the navy/black glitter shadow in Spell, purely from the reason that the glitter chunks are pretty big in it, so makes it a little awkward &"gritty" to work with but I would say with a good primer and if you applied it wet it would increase the glitter's staying power.

So that's the 411 on the Urban Decay Theorodora Palette, let me know what you think!

Will get my wee review on the Glinda Palette up this weekend too.

Thanks for reading lovelies, take care!!
    Sarah xx

P.S. Let me know what you think of the new blog design? I am thinking it is a little easier to read as its less fussy but your views and opinions are welcome!
    :)

    9. The super saturated colours are all amazing!! I love them :) I do agree that it is a cop out to not put perversion with the palette.. much better colour! To be honest though I don't really like the look of either of these palettes! for once I dont want or like an Urban Decay product!
