Friendships

Ok, so this is my thoughtful blog post for the week.. Possibly the month even! Only one of my best mates is moving to London for work in the next 2 weeks & needless to say I really reeeeaaallly don't want her to go- but I know it's an aMAAAAZING experience for her, so this got me thinking about friendships & the social network age- how does Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Skype shape your relationships? It has made it possible for me to chat to awesome people across the world & keep in touch with peeps who used to live down the road from me but are now elsewhere.. Share your thoughts please, would LOVE to hear what you make of it all! Also, could someone please help me Kidnap Olwen so she doesn't have to go?! Haha! Ah, it's a great reason to plan shopping trips to see her in London, but boy I am going to miss her!
Until next time lovelies,
Take care!

  1. Aw this is such a lovely post! I think the phrase 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' definitely applies, one of my best friends went to college in Cork & I'm in Dublin, but when we see each other we really appreciate it! Whereas another friend lives in my building & I find that she gets on my nerves very easily because of over-exposure!

That said, I'm moving to Germany next year & will no doubt be on Skype to my sisters every night!

  2. Aww I'm sorry your friend is moving away, it's always hard! One of my very good friends moved to Madrid 6 years ago and it was so hard at the time but we made it through with emails and skype and now whats app! I've been to visit her a few times and it's a great excuse for a bit of sun, and of course to see my best friend!

Technology helps so much with it all, and London is so close, and amazing for shopping i'm sure you'll be there visiting so much!

  4. I love the internet you meet the most interesting people on there! It's great for staying in touch too. I have friends all over the world who I would not have been in touch with without the internet!
